Diet for Hypoglycemia

What is the treatment for hypoglycemia besides eating more often?

My doc mentioned possible hypoglycemia when I told him I was concerned about diabetes because it runs in my family. What are the symptoms when a diabetic has too much sugar? Also is there any course of treatment for hypoglycemia besides a different diet?

1. what i learned in my class hypoglycemia is the lack of sugar or too much insulin the only thing i guess you would have to worry about is being able to have the right balance the emergency we get called to is if some one forgot to eat and they go into insulin shock or about to go into shock
