Hypoglycemia? I have hypoglycemia and I am planning on having a baby. I was told that if was to have a baby I would develop type 2 diabetes, does anyone know if this is true?
HYPOGLYCEMIA???????????????????????????? lately my hands and my feet have been really cold. My parents noticed that and he said that could be something to do with hypoglycemia. I just read about it and it doesn't mention those symptoms and it talks about people 25 or older(I'm 16 by the way). My parents say i might have this because I don't eat at the right time( like I eat at 6-7, and then at 11 again) and also because I barely drink milk. Is that true?????
If you have hypoglycemia can it cause you to have major anxiety problems ? I think I may have hypoglycemia and I find in the morning I could throw up after eating breakfast. But I know I have to eat it or I will be really hungry later. I can sleep through alarms easily, and become tired and light headed easily. I can get dizzy easily. I crave sugar like in juices and drink juice alot. I am constantly hungry and I also crave things like carbs whether is bread or crackers etc. I also cannot keep my hands still. It shakes, and the shaking varies from a little to almost uncontrollable. I also find if I am about to do something that creates pressure like and exam or a presentation I shake uncontrollably. As well every once and a while I want to say something but I pronounce or say the word wrong. Could this be hypoglycemia? Could it cause uncontrollable trembling and shakiness went it comes to the pressure situations? I mean I have done lots of exams before but it always occurs.
ways to prevent hypoglycemia in chihuahua puppies? I'll be getting a chihuahua puppy soon and I've heard a lot about hypoglycemia in the breed. Does feeding it a quality dog food every few hours (or free-feeding) generally prevent this or would I really have to give him a little something with sugar in it a few times a day? Also, how about during bedtime? how many hours can the breed comfortably go without food during the night?
What should my friend with hypoglycemia eat? Okay. My friend is always tired and has been since he was little. My mom and I were talking and we came up with hypoglycemia because that is what my grandma has and she has the same 'symptoms'. I have been told that he should eat about six small meals that are high in protein. What are some foods and snacks that are high in protein? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Why is it recommended that people prone to hypoglycemia avoid Valerian Root? While doing research on Valerian Root I've found that most sites recommend against its use if you're prone to hypoglycemia... but I can't find any explanation as to why. Valerian Root is supposed to act as a mild sedative for sleep aid and I'd like to try it, but I am prone to hypoglycemia. Anybody have more information?
What are the odds that my hypoglycemia progresses to diabetes? I discovered about 5 years ago that I've been hypo all my life. Almost everyone in my family have symptoms of hypoglycemia. At the last hour of my Glucose Tolerance test my blood sugar dropped to 31. It started out at 90. I though I was dying. I've followed the endocrinologist advice ever since (no meds, diet only). Now I have very few episodes - none in the past 2 years. I'm still worried that diabetes is lurking and no matter what I do it will happen. Anyone had the same situation?
What snacks can i eat with severe hypoglycemia? I was just diagnosed with severe hypoglycemia and put on a strict diet. The paperwork is a little unclear. What snacks can I eat between meals or on the road? I am use to a heavy sugar diet.
How to lose weight when you have reactive hypoglycemia? In June of this year I was diagnosed as having reactive hypoglycemia which is borderline diabetic. How does alcohol react with someone with hyperinsulinism related hypoglycemia? I don't have diabetes. I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia related to hyperinsulinism, which may be related to insulin resistance. I was just wondering what effect alcohol would have on this condition. I was wondering if occasional consumption of alcohol is acceptable, or if all alcohol should be avoided. Thanks.
Can I become pregnant if I have hypoglycemia? I've been trying to become pregnant for almost a year and just found out I have hypoglycemia (blood sugar fluctuation). Really good article on hypoglycemia that I could print out? I'm trying to help my neighbor at least send his dog's puppies to their new homes with good information... could anyone find me a really good article (online) about hypoglycemia that I could print out for him to give to the new owners? Isn't there danger of botox poisoning if using raw honey?
Can I use a home fingerstick blood test to test for hypoglycemia? I have been looking at the little machines for testing blood sugar and also the visual test strips like betachek visual. Can I use either of these for testing or hypoglycemia as I keep getting symptoms of it? I have had blood sugar tested before at the docs and it was normal, but my symptoms seem to come on with exercise. I especially notice it in the city walking around a lot. So I was thinking I need to test blood suger then rather than in a doctor's surgery. Thanks
How do I know if I have hypoglycemia or diabetes? Is it normal to feel dizzy/lightheaded if you don't eat anything for 8 hours? Can a person have hypoglycemia and diabetes? Just curious. I once tested my blood sugar levels with those testers for people with diabetes, and it was 5.9, and I had just drank hot chocolate and eaten some food. Is that normal for a teen girl? Thanks! My dad has diabetes. How likely is it that I will get it at some point in my life?

Is it normal for a diabetic to have a hypoglycemia episode every day? My grandma recently began taking insulin shots for diabetes. Every day between breakfast and lunch, however, she's been having a hypoglycemia episode with shakiness, sweating, and weakness. This doesn't seem right. Today she even had 2 breakfasts, but still had an attack at lunchtime. She is the first one in our family to have diabetes and be on insulin, so we're all new at this. Is this normal? Thank you so, so much for your answers!!!

Can people have one eposide of hypoglycemia? I had a horrible night last night. I hadn't eaten since lunch. I woke up at two am and got dizzy, faint and broke out in a cold sweat. I also got really nauseated. It lasted about a half hour until a while after I ate a granola bar and had some water. I know all of these can be symptoms of hypoglycemia but I'm not a diabetic. I feel fine now (finally) so I'm not too worried about it. I just don't know what the heck happened.
How do you treat hypoglycemia? I think I have hypoglycemia. My symptoms are matching up with WebMD and other medical sites. If I do go to the doc, what is the most she can do? What are treatments for hypoglecymia. I am afraid it will be a waste of time for me to even go.
Is glucose getting to your brain in hypoglycemia? I know in hyperglycemia the glucose is floating in the blood and isn't getting into the brain thats why people feel confused often. But in hypoglycemia, the brain should have plenty of glucose because it is stored in the brain and elsewhere thats why the bloood glucose levels are low. Anyone agree with me? why not?
Why are people with diabetes at higher risk for hypoglycemia? I can see why hyperglycemia would be a problem, but hypoglycemia doesn't make sense unless they were purposefully avoiding sugar, and if they were doing that, then they probably also check their blood sugar. If they check their blood sugar, then they would realize that it was low, and eat something sugary before it became a problem, or am I missing something?
I feel nauseous after eating could I have hypoglycemia? I always feel sick after I eat, more at night. This is usually along with chest pain and head aches. My feet do also feel numb sometimes. What are the causes of hypoglycemia? My dad is the only one diagnosed with it but my mom and I always get shaky, nervous, dizzy, frequent head rushes, and the cold sweats when we haven't eaten. This seems to point to hypoglycemia. Also, is this hereditary?
Treatment for passing out due to hypoglycemia? I have been experiencing very frequent episodes of hypoglycemia over the last month. I am not diabetic. I have been to the doctor on multiple occasions and am going to see a specialist next week because my doctor believes that I may have an insulinoma. All my doctor has told me to do so far is to avoid foods high in sugar and to eat small frequent meals/snacks. I have gotten fairly confused several different times but the problems subsided when I ate a few pieces of candy and then had a snack. Today I was home alone all day and I started to feel like my blood sugar was dropping but instead of eating the candy first, I just had popcorn. I passed out and woke up approximately an hour and a half later with a really bad headache. I got up and almost fell over on the way to get something to eat. Several hours later I still have a headache but I am able to walk around and function without a problem. Is there anything that I should do tonight and what should I do if this happens again?
Advice for feeling normal while dealing with hypoglycemia? My doctor recently diagnosed me with hypoglycemia. I have a number of other health problems including chronic tension headaches, ovarian cysts, and IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Generally I feel nauseous and dizzy/lightheaded unless I eat pretty much every 2 hours or so. I guess I just can't figure out how to eat because I feel pretty horrible most of the time. How can I deal with this? Also, I would like to avoid gaining a ton of weight.
can i live well without being officially diagnosed hypoglycemia? ive had the symptoms of hypoglycemia and some diabetes for probably almost 2 months now. my parents think im perfect and no matter how much i plead to go to the doctor they wont take me. ive been trying to monitor my symptoms by eating before and after excercise and eat whenever i get the symptoms...but is that enough? i think i should go to the doctor, but i dont think they will take me.

do you need a blood glucose testing device for hypoglycemia? Im worried about my mother who has diabetes and often faints from hypoglycemia? Recently events lead to my diabetic mother residing in a house alone. Am i right to worry that its dangerous to let her live by herself given the fact that she suffered a few times from episodes of hypoglycemia (passing out, talking weird, tired etc) and we had to force her to drink sugar. I worried that what if that happened again and no one was there? what will happen?
What is a good diet for someone with hypoglycemia? I have hypogylemic conditions, which are occasionally induced by sugar consumption. This is any and all sugar. My body basically hyper-reacts to sugar, and dumps insulin into my blood stream. What would be a reasonable diet, in order to avoid these symptoms? Thanks!
I was just diagnosed as having hypoglycemia? The doctor prescribed me to start a medication with is 500 mg of Metformin, and she wants to work the dose up to 1500 mg a day. What happens if you leave hypoglycemia untreated? I'm just curious since I think I may be hypoglycemic, but I've been deciding whether or not I should get tested to make sure I have it or not. I even took an online test to see if I was at risk or have any signs relating to it.
What are some good foods to eat if you have hypoglycemia to sustain blood sugar levels? Just wondering if there are any foods that help sustain blood sugar levels better than others. I am hypoglycemic and I sometimes get tired of being extremely dependent on food. I would rather spend my time performing stunts like driving my car off of a cliff than snacking every hour just to keep my blood sugar up. Any recommendations would be welcome. Thanks all!
How serious of a condition is hypoglycemia? I haven't been diagnosed with the condition, but is it worth a doctor's visit if I've been experiencing symptoms? The people at the doctor's office made it sound like a weird thing to get tested for. ...There is some sort of glucose test, correct? Thanks!
What doctor could test me for hypoglycemia? I dont want to go to my doctor now because he already told me (without running tests) that I am not hypoglycemic. However, I know that I am. So would I go to an endocrinologist or what? Just for a one time visit kind of thing. Thanks
Please suggest Natural Cure for Hypoglycemia? I think I have low sugar (Hypoglycemia). I have not confirmed it with a doctor yet. But my sympotms include general weakness, instability while walking, tremors in hand and sometimes in voice. I am not anemic and no problem with thyroid secretion. Can anyone suggest me if there could be a problem with adrenal glands. Also suggest me the type of food I should eat and few remedies.
Is chromium an appropriate treatment to hypoglycemia? I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia, due to an over excretion of insulin in my pancreas. Basically, my body hyper-reacts to any and all sugar, and just dumps insulin into my bloodstream when I eat any amount of sugar. I've heard chromium may help in certain instances of hypoglycemia. Would it help in this case? Thanks.
i have the symptoms of Hypoglycemia but my blood tests are negative? Ive had the relevant tests but my doctors assures me i'm not diabetic. Could i be Hypoglycemic though? I imagine he would have metnioned it had i been - but he didn't despite the fact i have all of the symptoms. So my question.... Can you just be temporally hypoglycemic to the point where some minor dietary changes - eating more and frequently, less sugar, etc would clear all the symptoms?
Who do I go see if I suspect I have hypoglycemia? I would like to know what kind of a specialist I should go see to be tested for hypoglycemia. Should I just go see an endocrinologist?? FYI: I'm not diabetic or overweight. Some medical concerns have been raised and I would like to go see a specialist in the area rather than just a general practitioner. Thanks!
Is somebody diagnosed with Hypoglycemia fall in the categories of a diabetic? My four year old son was at school and went unconsious and the ambulance said had to tranfer him to a nearby hospital. Their they diagnosed him being hypoglycimic. But my question is! Is it a type of diabeaties? And do they grow out of it? And also what other precautions to take to make this not happen again.
How common is fatal or irreversible brain damage from hypoglycemia? I'd like some relatively educated answers - don't answer if you'll post bullshit. I ask this question because someone I know took a 0.25 mg (1/2 tablet) of glibenclamide and went into a kind of coma. This shocked me because the medication was prescribed since he has Type 2 diabetes - I mean how on earth can a 1/2 tablet cause that kind of damage??? For the record, the tablet was Daonil.
